Face to Face Learning

Face to Face Learning

Face-to-face learning is an instructional method where course content and learning material are taught in person to a group of students. This allows for a live interaction between a learner and an instructor. It is the most traditional type of learning instruction. Learners benefit from a greater level of interaction with their fellow students as well. In face-to-face learning, students are held accountable for their progress at the class’s specific meeting date and time. Face-to-face learning ensures a better understanding and recollection of lesson content and gives class members a chance to bond with one another.

Face-to-face learning is essentially a teacher-centered method of education, and tends to vary widely among cultures. Many modern education systems have largely shifted away from traditional face-to-face forms of educational instruction, in favor of individual students’ needs.

Online Learning

Online Learning

Online learning is a new way of learning, made popular with the technology advancements. With almost everyone having a personal computer and a busy schedule, eLearning has become many people’s favorite way of attending classes and expanding their knowledge. But many are still skeptical that you can attain the same knowledge and skills through a computer as you would in a classroom.

Online learning can be conducted in any environment, at any time, as long as there is a computer, an internet connection, and a person willing to learn. The content of the courses can be transmitted through an LMS in many different multimedia formats. The learning can be interactive and engaging, or it can be simple and lecture style. Online learning has the flexibility to adapt to many people’s preferences. That is one of the ways how eLearning benefits employee training and development.

The advantages of Online Learning

  • It is cheaper
  • Less time consuming
  • It’s flexible
  • Adaptable to people’s preferences

The disadvantages of Online Learning

  • Hard to follow if you have no self-discipline
  • Cheating
  • Isolation

LMS

An LMS is a perfect way to distribute educational courses. Learning management systems were designed to identify learning gaps by analyzing reports and data. That way, we get to understand the way people learn, what works best, how we can improve training materials, and what are the most effective training methods for employees.

An LMS embodies all the benefits of eLearning. One of them is the ability to work in any device without compromising the quality of the training material, even in mobile devices. Mobile friendly LMSs are the future of learning.

Distance Learning

Distance Learning

Distance learning, also called distance education, e-learning, and online learning, form of education in which the main elements include physical separation of teachers and students during instruction and the use of various technologies to facilitate student-teacher and student-student communication. Distance learning traditionally has focused on nontraditional students, such as full-time workers, military personnel, and nonresidents or individuals in remote regions who are unable to attend classroom lectures. However, distance learning has become an established part of the educational world, with trends pointing to ongoing growth. In U.S. higher education alone, more than 5.6 million university students were enrolled in at least one online course in the autumn of 2009, up from 1.6 million in 2002. Students of all ages, around the world, were forced into distance learning in early 2020 once the global coronavirus pandemic resulted in the widespread closure of many schools. Videoconferencing software such as Zoom gained greatly from this development. Zoom became one of the most popular services of its kind, one of the most downloaded applications worldwide, and a household word. Teaching, and the student-teacher relationship, was fundamentally changed.
